Claude will become a primary reasoning and agentic layer across SAP’s AI-enabled portfolio, embedded in the newly announced SAP Business AI Platform and surfaced through Joule and Joule agents.
SAP said the tie-up lets AI act inside existing enterprise systems rather than requiring customers to rebuild workflows, with tasks spanning quarter-end close, HR leave queries and mid-shipment supplier rerouting.
Hundreds of thousands of SAP customers are expected to gain stronger reasoning on finance, HR, procurement and supply-chain work, with agents using SAP business context and connected systems via MCP to make and execute decisions.
