London is expected to host Samsung’s July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event, where the company is reportedly preparing to show its first smart glasses alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8, Flip8 and Watch9.
Q3 is the targeted launch window for the glasses, which are expected to run Google’s Android XR and arrive first as audio-focused devices with cameras, microphones, speakers and onboard AI rather than displays.
Gentle Monster is reportedly working with Samsung on design, though Google has also named the eyewear brand among its Android XR partners, adding uncertainty over which company leads which device.

Will Samsung's AI-powered glasses finally make wearables essential, or will deep-rooted privacy concerns doom this new attempt?
