Lake City Police Arrest 4 Men in Online Child Exploitation Sting

Four men — ages 39 to 67 — were arrested after Lake City police ran an Internet Crimes Against Children operation targeting adults seeking sex with minors online.
Detectives posted undercover ads on a site used to arrange sexual encounters and posed as teenage girls, then identified suspects who allegedly engaged in explicit conversations with people they believed were minors.
The suspects — from Fort White, Lake City, Live Oak and Jacksonville — face charges including using electronic devices to facilitate unlawful sexual conduct involving minors, transmitting harmful material and solicitation-related offenses.
Some cases also include allegations of traveling to meet a child after using a computer to lure one, and police said more charges and additional arrests remain possible as digital evidence is reviewed.
