Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra adds a built-in Privacy Display that narrows side-angle visibility, removing the need for third-party privacy screen protectors.
Three modes define the feature: Maximum Privacy Protection for near head-on viewing, automatic activation for selected apps or PIN/password entry, and a notification-only setting that shields pop-ups without dimming the full screen.
Maximum Privacy Protection is aimed at crowded settings and sensitive tasks such as banking, where standard side-angle blocking may still leave parts of the display visible.
Privacy Display requires manual setup in Settings or the Quick Panel, and Samsung says the feature is not AI-powered.
