Leaked Android 17 screenshots show Google testing a revamped Wallpaper & style menu with four Material You modes—Neutral, Soft, Bright and Bold—plus a real-time accent-color slider.
The same early build also adds more UI blur, extending visual changes that earlier Android 17 reporting had already hinted were in development.
Those tools would give users far more control over theme intensity and exact accent colors, addressing a long-running request for less automated Material You customization.
Google has not shown the features in current Android 17 builds, and with the main release only weeks away, the changes may slip to the QPR1 update already in beta.
