June 5 is the launch date for Nintendo’s Switch 2 + Pokémon Pokopia bundle in Australia and New Zealand, with preorders opening May 6 through the My Nintendo Store.
AU$769.95 in Australia and NZ$869.95 in New Zealand, the package saves buyers AU$39.95 or NZ$49.95 versus purchasing the console and game separately.
Nintendo has limited purchases to accounts set to Australia or New Zealand, and fulfillment is restricted to local shipping addresses or pickup in Victoria through Nintendo Australia’s Parts and Repairs Store.
Major Australasian retailers including Costco and JB Hi-Fi are expected to get preorders later, but Nintendo has not said whether the bundle will expand beyond the region.
Pokopia’s popularity appears to be driving the offer, though the bundle includes only a standard Switch 2 console rather than a themed special-edition model.

Is this exclusive Australian bundle a test for a global strategy or just a way to clear stock before a major price hike?
