Several Chattanooga-area lawmakers said Tennessee’s newly enacted congressional map is fair and now moves into implementation, even as lawsuits challenging the plan begin to mount.
Bo Watson said the map followed current law and that courts should resolve disputes, while urging voters in Rhea and Meigs counties to confirm their new districts and ballots.
State funding has been set aside to help local election offices manage the transition ahead of upcoming elections, as representation changes take effect under the new map.
