Megyn Kelly said CBS and Bari Weiss edited Benjamin Netanyahu’s “60 Minutes” interview to soften remarks that could further alienate Americans from Israel.
One omitted section, she said, was Netanyahu’s claim that support for Israel has fallen almost 100% in line with social media growth and foreign bot-farm manipulation, including accounts he said traced to Pakistan.
Kelly also pointed to edits around Netanyahu’s suggestion that Americans opposing the Iran war—and by extension disagreeing with Israel—were acting anti-American, arguing CBS avoided the real reasons U.S. support has eroded.
CBS aired a shortened network version while posting the full 80-minute interview on YouTube, and some journalists instead praised the outlet for landing Netanyahu’s first U.S. broadcast interview since the Iran war began within 24 hours.
