  • Anthropic made Claude Platform on AWS generally available, letting customers use the native Claude console and APIs through existing AWS accounts without separate credentials, contracts or billing.
  • AWS is the first cloud provider to offer Anthropic’s native platform experience, with access tied to AWS IAM, billing routed through AWS Marketplace and activity logged in AWS CloudTrail.
  • The service includes the Messages API plus tools such as web search, code execution, file uploads and several beta features including managed agents, MCP connector and agent skills.
  • Anthropic said requests and data are processed outside AWS’s security boundary, positioning the offering for teams without strict regional data-residency needs and as a complement to Claude models on Amazon Bedrock.
  • Claude Platform on AWS is available across 18 regions spanning the US, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific.
