A 27-year-old man arrested in Paris on Thursday is suspected of plotting a violent attack aimed at a museum and the Jewish community, with investigators saying he sought to hit the Louvre.
Le Monde reported the suspect also considered the Jewish community in Paris' 16th arrondissement and had planned to join Islamic State in Syria or Mozambique.
The case lands as the Louvre, the world's most-visited museum, remains under scrutiny after burglars stole $102 million in jewels there last October.
