Luka Doncic said Tuesday he will not play for Slovenia this summer, choosing to stay with his daughters while he pursues joint custody.
An Instagram statement said it has been extremely difficult for him to see the children over the past 8 months, forcing a choice between national-team travel and being with them.
The Lakers star said in March that he ended his engagement to Anamaria Goltes after being unable to have his daughters with him in the U.S. during the season.
Doncic and Goltes were engaged in July 2023; their daughters were born in November 2023 and December 2025, and TMZ Sports previously reported Goltes filed for child support and attorneys' fees in California.
