Nearly 40% of German companies in China surveyed in April said they expect the Chinese economy to improve over the next six months, up from 22% a year earlier.
More than one-third also reported improving business conditions, compared with 19% in 2025, according to a report released Tuesday by the German Chamber of Commerce in China.
Over 210 chamber members took part in the survey, which showed sentiment strengthening even as the Iran war disrupted some operations and geopolitical tensions persisted.
The results point to a more upbeat near-term view among German businesses in China despite external risks still weighing on day-to-day activity.
