Xbox Blocks Early Access to 45GB LEGO Batman Game After Preload Error

A patch has cut off unintended early play of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight after some Xbox owners launched the game more than a week before its May 22 release.
The access issue appeared to affect a small number of players who had preloaded the digital edition on Xbox Series S, with reports pointing specifically to Walmart preorders.
Formal early access is scheduled to begin on May 19, so the accidental unlock briefly let those users play days ahead of both the early-access window and full launch.
The 45GB preload remains available on Xbox, including through the mobile app, but the game should no longer be playable before release.
