Ryan Seacrest announced Hannah Harper as the Season 24 winner in the May 11 three-hour finale after fan voting, with Jordan McCullough second and Keyla Richardson third.
Willow Springs, Missouri, singer Harper entered the finale with momentum from her original song “String Cheese,” about postpartum depression, which became one of the season’s most-watched clips on social media.
Jordan, a 27-year-old Tennessee worship director, reached the final after standout performances that drew praise for his range and song choices, while Keyla, a 29-year-old Pensacola music teacher, had been a season frontrunner.
ABC closed the season with performances from judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, plus guests including Nelly, Brad Paisley, Lee Ann Womack and Jason Mraz.
