$22 million in Series B funding will let Vori add engineering and product staff and push its AI grocery software into more independent stores, Fortune reported.
Cherryrock Capital led the round, with Greylock Partners and The Factory participating, as Vori pitches its platform as virtual labor for checkout, payments, pricing, ordering, inventory and loyalty.
More than $500 million in payments have run through Vori across 55-plus cities since 2019, reaching over 1 million consumers; CEO Brandon Hill said payment volume doubled in the past six months.
Vori is targeting the 75% of U.S. grocery spending outside Walmart and Amazon, arguing a $1.5 trillion market still relies on outdated systems at many independent grocers.
