Amazon Cuts Govee 4-Pack Smart Bulbs to $28, Undercutting Philips Hue by 4X

$28 buys a Govee four-pack on Amazon, down from $39 and matching the lowest price tracked for the color-changing smart bulbs.
That works out to $7.25 per bulb—well below Philips Hue's $15 to $25 for a single A19 bulb and far under Hue four-packs that run about $80 to $100 with a hub.
The Govee bulbs offer 16 million colors, 54 scene modes, music sync, and Alexa and Google Assistant support, while connecting directly over WiFi and Bluetooth without extra hardware.
The tradeoff is that they require 2.4GHz WiFi and do not work with smart switches, though the bulbs carry 4.7 stars from more than 26,000 reviews and sold over 8,000 units last month.
