Carnival said a female guest died after driving a mobility scooter off the pier and into the water while Carnival Celebration was docked at Celebration Key on May 9.
Rescue teams pulled her from the water, but she did not survive resuscitation efforts; passengers said she suffered a medical emergency before the scooter went over the edge.
One witness told 7News the woman appeared to have a heart attack and struck her head, while her husband was also injured trying to help.
The victim was not identified in the latest report; a later report identified her as an 88-year-old American tourist.
The death adds to safety concerns at Celebration Key, where two other tourists died in separate water incidents after the Bahamas destination opened in July 2025.
