2027 now marks Blade Runner’s return on two fronts: Prime Video will debut live-action series Blade Runner 2099, and Behaviour Interactive with PHI Studio will launch a North American immersive experience.
Blade Runner 2099 is already in post-production at Alcon Entertainment, with the newly confirmed 2027 window following earlier targets of late 2025 and then late 2026.
North America will host the live experience across multiple cities still to be named, with Behaviour describing it as a multisensory, interactive journey built around the franchise’s dystopian world.
Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer lead the series cast, while showrunner Silka Luisa and executive producer Ridley Scott tie the project back to the 1982 film and 2017 sequel.
The dual rollout would be the franchise’s biggest push since 2021 anime Black Lotus, extending Blade Runner beyond film into TV and location-based entertainment.
