Owen Cooper, 16, won BAFTA TV supporting actor on Sunday, completing a full run of major honors for his first-ever screen role in Netflix's "Adolescence."
The BAFTA capped an awards streak that had already made Cooper the youngest actor to win the Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG Actor Award and Critics Choice for a single TV performance.
Cooper broke out as Jamie Miller — a 13-year-old accused of murdering a classmate — after being cast at 13 with no prior professional acting experience.
His central one-take episode opposite Erin Doherty drew particular acclaim, helping turn the four-part limited series into a record-breaking awards force nearly 14 months after its debut.
“Adolescence” kept its BAFTA momentum going Sunday when Christine Tremarco, who played Jamie's mother, also won supporting actress.
