Glentrool Estates has sold the final 26-acre consented plot at Sherburn2 in North Yorkshire to Ward and Burke Construction, closing its roughly 20-year involvement in the business park.
85 acres acquired in 2007 underpinned that investment, which Glentrool said helped deliver 710,000 square feet of development across phases including Cromwell Polythene’s building and the East Phase partnership with Firethorn.
Ward and Burke plans to bring its Yorkshire Water operations to the site and will work with North Yorkshire Council to amend planning permission for its operational requirements.
Sherburn2, at Junction 42 of the A1(M), has provided sites supporting more than 1,450 full-time-equivalent jobs in the Selby area, underscoring the park’s role as a logistics and manufacturing hub.
Glentrool still holds Sherburn4—a 14-acre fully let storage site—and Sherburn3 for future development as it shifts focus to new investment opportunities across Yorkshire and beyond.
