$66.1 million in added payroll lifted Wyoming's total wages 1.5% between the third quarters of 2024 and 2025, even as statewide employment fell by 1,320 jobs.
The decline was modest at 0.5%, pointing to higher overall pay despite a smaller workforce, according to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services' Research & Planning section.
County data showed a mixed labor market: employment rose in nine counties and fell in 14, while payroll increased in 17 counties and declined in six.
The figures suggest wage growth remained broad across much of Wyoming even as job counts slipped statewide over the year.
