Iran Backs Xi's 4-Point Gulf Security Plan Ahead of Trump-Beijing Meeting

Iran said it is ready to support Xi Jinping's four-point proposal for lasting security and shared development in the Persian Gulf, according to Ambassador Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.
Last week's Beijing meeting between the Iranian and Chinese foreign ministers included discussion of the plan, Fazli said in a post on X.
Chinese state media has not published the full proposal, but said last month it calls for peaceful coexistence, respect for sovereignty, international rule of law and a balance between development and security.
The endorsement comes days before President Trump is due to meet his counterpart in Beijing, placing Iran's backing in a sensitive diplomatic week for China and the region.
