Season 3 of HBO’s Euphoria has triggered a fresh online backlash against Sydney Sweeney after her character Cassie starts an OnlyFans and appears in a scene dressed as a baby.
OnlyFans creators and sex workers said the portrayal is unrealistic and harmful, arguing the age-play imagery would violate platform rules and reinforce false stereotypes about sex work.
Maitland Ward called the scene “beyond troubling,” while Megan Prescott warned viewers could wrongly conclude OnlyFans permits baby-role-play content; the site bans content involving actual, claimed or role-played exploitation of minors.
Sam Levinson defended the storyline as an absurdist creative choice meant to break Cassie’s fantasy, but critics questioned whether the show consulted sex workers and said Hollywood again mishandled a marginalized community.
