Rumours say only the Face ID flood illuminator, not the full system, will move under the display before the September launch of the 6.3-inch Pro and 6.9-inch Pro Max.
Other reported upgrades include LTPO+ displays, a variable-aperture 48-megapixel main camera, Apple's 2nm A20 Pro chip, a C2 modem and possible 5G satellite web access.
