Slovak PM Fico visits Moscow and calls himself EU black sheep

In Moscow before Russia's 9 May Victory Day, he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and said he would meet Vladimir Putin.
Fico said he rejects a single mandatory EU line, wants normal Slovakia-Russia relations, and supports negotiations and any ceasefire to end the war in Ukraine.
He said he would skip Russia's military parade but honour Soviet soldiers who helped liberate Slovakia, after a recent call with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on possible reciprocal visits.
