Tokyo Ohka Kogyo reports higher first-quarter net profit

Net profit rose to Y11.73 billion from Y7.53 billion in the quarter ended 31 March, while revenue increased to Y67.08 billion from Y54.27 billion.
Operating profit climbed to Y15.07 billion from Y9.80 billion, pretax profit to Y15.37 billion from Y9.84 billion, and earnings per share to Y97.81 from Y62.91.
The Japanese company said the results were prepared under Japanese accounting standards, with diluted earnings per share edging up to Y97.74 from Y62.84.
