Delta police said the collision with a sedan happened just before 3 p.m. near Scott Road, 72nd Avenue and 120th Street at the Surrey-Delta border.
The rider's injuries were serious but not life-threatening, while the car driver was unhurt. Photos showed the motorcycle hanging from an overhead signal above the intersection.
Scott Road was closed between 70th and 72nd avenues as crews cleared debris. Delta firefighters said they helped treat the patient, secure the scene and remove the motorcycle.
