Speaking at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics on Friday, the New York Democrat defended earlier remarks that people cannot "earn" a billion dollars.
She said critics were using a red herring by focusing on whether all billionaires are immoral instead of on inequality, wealth concentration and what she called abuse of power.
Her comments drew renewed conservative backlash from Mike Lee, Ted Cruz and Ron DeSantis, while she also cited wage theft costing American workers $50bn a year.
