In the latest Android Auto app, newly uncovered code and screen images show a Car widgets settings option and a widget picker similar to Android phone home screens.
The feature appears to support many standard Android widgets, potentially bringing calendar, battery, countdown and fitness information to vehicle dashboards alongside existing Android Auto functions.
Google has not announced a launch date, but the feature looks advanced and could be unveiled at Google I/O on 19-20 May, after the recent worldwide rollout of Gemini in Android Auto.
