The 27-year-old Richmond, Virginia, officer was found Saturday in the water about a mile from where two soldiers were believed to have entered the ocean near Cap Draa.
The Army said more than 1,000 American and Moroccan military and civilian personnel have joined the search, while efforts continue to find the second missing soldier.
A Defence Department official said the pair may have fallen off a cliff during a hike after training near the southern Morocco exercise area. Key's body will be returned to the US.
