In an X post on 9 May, the PlayStation 3 emulator team said it would ban offenders without notice from its GitHub project.
Developers said the submissions were unusable code from contributors who did not understand or debug what they generated, and later mocked attempts to defend the practice in replies.
RPCS3, active since 2011, says 70% of the PS3 library is fully playable; the dispute reflects a wider GitHub problem also reported this year by Godot Engine.
