The shooting happened about 8 a.m. outside Fleet Farm on North Washburn Street in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and the man was taken to a local hospital.
Police said officers had been dispatched for a report of a man with a handgun when a uniformed officer encountered him and fired, striking the suspect.
