  • The six-part BBC One series is filming in Germany, Liverpool, Merseyside and Munich, covering more than 250 Beatles gigs in Hamburg between 1960 and 1962.
  • Inspired by Klaus Voormann's memoirs, it depicts the band, then including Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best, meeting Voormann and photographer Astrid Kirchherr during their transformation.
  • Jamie Carragher wrote the drama, directed by Christian Schwochow and Laura Lackmann, as Liverpool also hosts Sam Mendes's separate four-film Beatles project for release in 2028.
