Ziobro and Patrycja Kotecka arrived in the United States after fleeing Hungary following Viktor Orban’s election defeat last month, Gazeta Wyborcza reported.
The newspaper said Trump personally intervened to secure the visas despite opposition from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Ambassador to Poland Tom Rose.
Ziobro, Poland’s former justice minister, had previously been granted asylum in Hungary during Orban’s time as prime minister.
