North Carolina unemployment rate falls to 3.7% as nonfarm employment rises

In March, nonfarm payrolls rose 9,400 to 5,078,400, while the national unemployment rate edged down to 4.3%.
Trade, transportation and utilities added 4,600 jobs, manufacturing 2,200 and leisure and hospitality 1,400, while government lost 200 jobs and professional and business services was unchanged.
The number of unemployed people fell by 3,946 from February to 197,113, and the jobless rate was also 0.1 percentage point lower than a year earlier.
