A Los Angeles jury convicted him after a three-week trial over the 2017 strangling death of his mother, Violet Yacobi, at her Beverly Hills mansion.
Prosecutors said he killed for access to an estimated $13m family fortune, citing DNA under her fingernails, location and camera data, and incriminating internet searches.
The defence argued Violet died from a fall or medical event, but the verdict carries a mandatory life sentence without parole after Yacobi spent more than seven years jailed awaiting trial.
