At the 56-player camp, the rookie quarterback worked behind starter Geno Smith as coach Aaron Glenn said New York is also speaking with several veteran passers.
Glenn said the Jets traded up to draft Klubnik and plan to test him in Frank Reich's offence, with significant preseason reps expected as he learns from Reich and quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave.
The minicamp also evaluates an eight-player draft class, 12 undrafted free agents and 31 tryout players before rookies join veterans on Monday, as the Jets search for roster depth and possible surprises.
