At Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Chip Ganassi Racing driver clocked 1:09.7487, beating Pato O'Ward by 0.5475 seconds for his 14th career pole.
It was Palou's second pole of the season, and he led both Friday practices plus all three qualifying rounds before Sunday's 85-lap race.
Palou has won the last three editions of this event, including from pole in 2024 and 2025, and leads the IndyCar standings by 17 points over Kyle Kirkwood.
