The blaze broke out Friday afternoon in Henry County, Tennessee, sending a huge black smoke plume over the area as emergency crews responded.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office told nearby residents, especially people with respiratory issues, to stay indoors amid air-quality warnings while firefighters continued tackling remaining flames on Saturday.
The cause was not released and it remained unclear whether anyone was injured or killed at the plastic recycling site, part of Sigma Plastics Group.
