California Workforce Development Board launches HIRE 2.0 funding for justice-involved workers

About $9.5m is available statewide, with applications limited to existing HIRE 1.0 grantees and Network Spokes, including nonprofits, businesses and public agencies.
The second-cycle programme funds training, supportive services, reskilling, upskilling and needs-related payments to improve employment opportunities and job mobility for people re-entering the workforce.
Applicants must choose either an Independent or HIRE Network project and provide non-CWDB matching funds worth at least 50% of the amount requested.
