Giants trade Patrick Bailey to Guardians for prospect and draft pick

San Francisco sent the two-time Gold Glove catcher to Cleveland for left-hander Matt Wilkinson and the No. 29 MLB Draft pick after Bailey hit .146 with a .396 OPS.
The move opens catcher starts for rookies Jesús Rodríguez and Daniel Susac, with Rodríguez already in the majors and Susac nearing a return from an elbow injury.
Wilkinson has a 1.59 ERA in six Double-A starts, while the Giants now hold the fourth and 29th draft picks as they also weigh roster and rotation decisions around Logan Webb.
