The MV Hondius is due to dock in the Canary Islands this weekend before the passengers and staff fly by charter to the Wirral hospital for up to 72 hours.
Five hantavirus cases have been confirmed, including one of three passengers who died; two infected British men are being treated in the Netherlands and South Africa, and another Briton is a suspected case.
The ship stopped at Tristan da Cunha in mid-April, and the WHO said on Saturday no passengers currently aboard were symptomatic. Authorities said the risk to the wider public remains very low.
