In an April 23-28 poll of 1,134 US adults, 47% planned to celebrate Mother’s Day, versus 34% for Father’s Day.
Among those raised by a mother and father, 53% said mothers were more involved in daily activities and 47% said they were more affectionate, while fathers were more often seen as stricter and higher earners.
Most married Americans reported harmonious in-law relationships, though parents with children under 18 were more likely to report arguments; only small minorities said in-laws harmed their marriage.
