The 66-year-old suburban New Orleans pastor was convicted in Jefferson Parish on two counts each of third-degree rape and molestation after jurors deliberated for under an hour.
Prosecutors said Reed used scripture to groom vulnerable 16-year-olds who had moved into his Terrytown home in 2011 and 2021, and that his 2023 arrest prompted the second victim to come forward.
Reed, previously convicted in 1997 and 2017 of abusing juveniles, is due to be sentenced on 18 June and could face decades in prison.
