The eight-year-old from Salford was returning from Izmir, Turkey, with his father James when the pilot personally thanked them for preventing a diversion.
James said parcels have arrived from across the UK, the Netherlands and Germany, including thank-you cards and a PlayStation 5, after Phoenix sat with the woman for hours.
The family had cut short their holiday because of an emergency, and James now says Phoenix wants people to stop sending presents and donate to charity or help others instead.
