Nike faces class action over alleged retention of tariff refunds

The proposed federal case in Portland, Oregon, says Nike raised some footwear prices by $5-$10 and apparel by $2-$10, while having paid about $1bn in tariffs.
Plaintiffs argue Nike could recover the same tariff costs twice if it keeps consumer overcharges and also receives refunds after the Supreme Court's February ruling on some IEEPA tariffs.
The suit is among several against major retailers, including Costco, as more than 2,000 companies seek tariff recoveries; Nike said tariffs should stop materially hurting margins by August 2026.
