WVU Davis College students place 42nd in CME Group trading challenge

The three-student team finished 42nd among 616 global teams and later attended the 2025 Day of Market Education Conference at CME Group headquarters in Chicago.
Participants were Jack Case, Liam Dwyer and graduate Adam Gratton, working under assistant professor Siddhartha Bora in WVU's Futures Markets and Commodity Prices course.
The course uses CME Trading Simulator and LSEG Workspace to teach commodity-market analysis and risk management across agricultural, energy and mineral futures through guided labs and simulated trading.
