Liberty Empresas launches Starlink satellite internet for Costa Rican rural organisations

Authorised to resell Starlink in Costa Rica, Liberty began offering Internet Corporativo Satelital to business clients on 27 April, targeting hotels, farms, schools and regional offices beyond the Central Valley.
The service uses low-Earth orbit satellites to support video calls, streaming, cloud platforms, surveillance and backup connectivity where fibre is weak, unavailable or disrupted.
Liberty says it can integrate the service with managed corporate networks, while a separate satellite-to-mobile offering announced in April remains under development for commercial launch in the second half of 2026.
