Liberty Empresas launches Starlink satellite internet for Costa Rican rural organisations

  • Authorised to resell Starlink in Costa Rica, Liberty began offering Internet Corporativo Satelital to business clients on 27 April, targeting hotels, farms, schools and regional offices beyond the Central Valley.
  • The service uses low-Earth orbit satellites to support video calls, streaming, cloud platforms, surveillance and backup connectivity where fibre is weak, unavailable or disrupted.
  • Liberty says it can integrate the service with managed corporate networks, while a separate satellite-to-mobile offering announced in April remains under development for commercial launch in the second half of 2026.
