Golden Arrowhead Price Transparency Boosts Guyana’s Role in Atlantic Basin Crude Market Expansion
Overview
In response to Guyana's rapid rise as a major Atlantic crude supplier, Argus launched daily price assessments for the premium light sweet Golden Arrowhead crude in April 2026. This new benchmark, available on the Argus Open Markets platform with extended trading hours and real-time pricing, enhances market transparency and liquidity, supporting global buyers and sellers. Golden Arrowhead's superior quality and growing production are reshaping Atlantic Basin dynamics, offering refiners in Europe and the US a stable, high-value alternative amid geopolitical instability and diesel supply deficits. The transparent pricing and strategic positioning of Guyana's crude are driving its adoption in global markets and fostering a significant rebalancing of crude trade flows.
