Tesla recalls Cybertrucks over wheel stud separation risk

The recall covers 173 2024-2026 vehicles with base 18-inch steel wheels, with owner letters due on 20 June after service centres were notified on 20 April.
Tesla said a 2025 pre-production test found hub and bearing geometry could crack brake rotors, and a change-management error meant planned durability fixes were omitted when production began.
One customer reported braking vibrations in October 2025, and Tesla said three warranty claims may be linked, but no crashes, injuries or deaths have been reported. It follows a separate recall of more than 218,000 Teslas over rear-view camera delays.
